<p>Here at Na&iuml;ve we enter the year of the Black Water Dragon with great optimism.</p>
<p>The Golden Rabbit of 2011 was a good one for us, with new clients and varied projects around Asia and beyond.</p>
<p>Our affair with beauty continued with Pond's skin and Dove hair assignments for China and Singapore, and a major new brand launch in Russia; a first for the network in Europe.</p>
<p>We were asked to be part of a regional team that pitched for a global car brand, and worked with Pernod-Ricard to radically improve the branding and visibility of its 100 Pipers whisky brand in Thailand.</p>
<p>Along the way we pitched for a mobile phone business, and worked with a number of SMEs to help build their brands in Asia, as well as helping one Asian-based SME to break into the US market.</p>
<p>All Dragon years are traditionally associated with new beginnings, happiness and good fortune, and 2012 is no exception.</p>

<p>Na&iuml;ve were recently appointed by the Singapore Grand Prix to produce a 30-second TV commercial designed to promote the world's only F1 night race.</p>
<p>As the key objective was to appeal to people who lie outside of F1&rsquo;s core fan base we decided to eschew the normal racing imagery and instead take a light hearted look at how F1 fever is gripping Singapore as the race approaches.</p>
<p>The TVC features two ladies who, overwhelmed by Grand Prix fever, decide to stage their own race in the local supermarket. Produced by Masion Films Thailand, and directed by K. <p>The pan-Asian version was produced by Phenomena Films Bangkok and once again it&rsquo;s a story of love and deception that&rsquo;s designed to tug at the heartstrings and take  consumers on an emotional journey. Featuring Thai/German heartthrob, Max Malchartzeck, the campaign is running on-air, online, and in social media, allowing consumers to share their own love story moments and feelings through their on-line "love diaries".</p>

<p>The pan-African version was produced by Mob Films and shot on location in Cape Town by well known UK features director Vadim Jean and posted at Prime Focus in London. It&rsquo;s the first time that Na&iuml;ve have shot using HD digital for a cosmetic skin product and we were slightly nervous going into the project. But the end result was, much to our relief, stunning.</p>

<p>Directed by Vadim Jean from The Mob in London, the campaign was shot in and around some of Cape Town's spectacular locations, including Camps Bay for the finale (pictured here).</p>
<p>Fortunately, the shoot was not too gruelling, and the Naive team also had some time to take in the sights of Cape Town, and to sample some of the delicious local wines. Why can't all shoots be this pleasant?</p>

<p>Working once again with <a href="http://www.pheno.com/" target="_blank">Phenomena Films</a> legendary director, Satit Kalawantavanich, the filming took place in various derelict locations in and around Bangkok.</p>
<p>The campaign, which rolls out in December will run in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, China, India, Latin America and Africa, which means up to a billion women may get to see it! We just hope they like it.</p>
